Prowork Pacific is a leading architecture firm based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Our services include architectural design and planning, interior design, and sustainable design. We are looking for a Web Designer and Developer that will be responsible for achieving the overall conceptualization and implementation of digital design solutions for Prowork Pacific. They will liaise with other team members to create and implement digital graphic materials and communications that will lead the company’s web marketing.
Lead website creation, development, and maintenance, including feature support and updates, backend and frontend coding, plug-in security and management, debugging and problem solving.
Create, edit, proofread and update web pages as needed or assigned.
Coordinate with design and technical staff on website development needs; gather and evaluate requirements, propose solutions and develop functional and technical specifications for internet and web-based projects.
Contribute to website strategy, prepare and deliver recommendations to Prowork leadership as needed or assigned.
Based on performance indicators, proactively review and revise site content and design to increase engagement, revenue and usability.
Ensure published content is best-practice compliance, including SEO, naming conventions, brand guidelines, tagging and testing for quality assurance.
Knowledge and Experience
Must have Bachelor’s Degree in related coursework and at least one-year working experience.
Must have experience designing, developing, testing and implementing website applications using HTML and CSS with a focus on web standards.
HTML, CSS Animations, strong knowledge of SEO requirements.
Wireframing and Prototyping Experience preferred
Ability to demonstrate proven track record with debugging and issue resolution.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills are required at all levels; this position must be prepared to communicate with clients, co-workers, direct reports, managers, vendors, related parties, and other stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Must have strong organizational skills, excellent follow-up, and attention to detail.
In addition to advanced working knowledge of HTML 5 & CSS, significant experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier.
